Service

Managed WiFi and network support for care homes.

Networks don't stand still. Homes fill up, devices are added and new care technology arrives. We keep an eye on the network, catch problems early and handle changes — so the manager isn't left to work out who to call.

What support covers

Looked after by the people who know the building.

Support works best when the engineers answering the phone already know how your network is put together. Where we designed and installed it, they do — and where we didn't, we survey and document it first.

  • Monitoring of the internet connection, failover, switching and access points
  • Remote troubleshooting and configuration changes
  • Firmware and security updates, planned to avoid busy periods
  • Adding new devices and care systems to the right network segment
  • On-site visits when a problem needs hands on equipment
  • Up-to-date documentation as the network changes

Single homes

One number to call.

For an independent home, support means not having to become a network expert. If staff devices start disconnecting or the broadband fails over to backup, we'll know, and we'll deal with it.

Care groups

Consistency across the estate.

For groups, the value is consistency: the same design, security approach and documentation in every home, one view of how each site is performing, and a single team responsible for all of them.

Support arrangements

Agreed with you, in writing.

Support is arranged to suit each home or group, with the details set out in your support agreement.

We don't promise guaranteed uptime: no single network can. What we do is design for resilience — segmented networks and, where specified, a backup internet connection — and respond quickly when something fails.

Questions

Support questions

Do you only support networks you installed?

No. We usually start with a survey of a network we didn't install, so we understand how it's built and what needs tidying before we take responsibility for it.

How do we report a problem?

Call or email us. Because the network is monitored, we will often already be aware of an outage or failing device by the time you get in touch.

Can you support all the homes in our group?

Yes. Supporting a group of homes is where a consistent design pays off — the same configuration, documentation and approach in every building, and one team that knows them all.
